20200827 WRITING - DAY 21

"Who the heck was I to offer advice?

"Then I started hearing about other bloggers who were considered experts in their fields.  I found out many of them didn't start out as experts either.  Instead, they just started asking questions.  They started poking and probing and finding answers to their burning questions.  They shared the questions they were asking and the answers they found.  They took their readers along on their journey of discovery."

Here's my list of subjects:

  1. 👌RIGHT WRITE (rather, WRITE RIGHT) (or, WRITING RIGHT)
  2. 👌Why didn't I ever have a dream?
  3. 👌Dr. Pruitt

  6. 👌How I became a Democrat
  7. 👌When did I give up my identity?
I might add more later.  But I'm thinking about just vomiting out words about each one of these, one a day, for a week.  At least it'll give me some sense of whether they're are viable subjects for me.

8.  👌Die Barbara

9.  👌Life is a series of mysteries - large and small.

Life is a series of mysteries - large and small.

This saying had more mental punch when I wrote it the other day, than it does now.  And it was based on an earlier saying I coined:  "Life is a series of one-way streets."  You can never go back to a particular point in time.  No one steps into the same river twice, etc.

Now, today, I'm trying to remember why I modified my earlier phrase to describe life as a series of mysteries.

I certainly do believe that; I often ponder on why things go the way they do, and usually include a nod to the idea that someone outside of me has set all this up.  I even say to myself that the time delay and accompanying frustration leading to an outburst such as "What a waste!" - MIGHT just be a way for the "supreme operations commander" somewhere in the sky to have me arrive at some future point at a better time, or with an additional skill.

But who knows?

I just wonder.  Wander and wonder.  These things are not knowable, and yet I persist in thinking about them.  And I wonder why I do it.

And now to address the long and short of this subject:  Some mysteries are on-going throughout my lifetime & memory; others are mini-mysteries lasting a few seconds, etc. etc.

Either kind might be revealed.  I never know.

And who is the "supreme operations commander?"  Me?  Us?  Je n'en sais rien!  C'est presque ridicule, tout ca.

Well, this was my last subject that I had on my list, and I've done it.  9 different topics.  I wrote about an hour on each one.

Next (for a few days, I'm guessing), I'm going to read each one out loud, so see if voicing them makes any difference.
